Boy Scout Merit Badge Clinic

On 3 October 2015, the GRVARS assisted with the 4th annual Quad Cities Merit Badge Clinic for the Signs, Signals, and Codes merit badge. The clinic was held at the United Township High School in East Moline. The scouts enjoyed learning about Morse code and other signaling methods, including flags and sign language. Training was presented on the importance of signs, signals, and codes, and why people need these different methods of communication. Each scout had an opportunity to do hands-on learning on the various badge requirements. Over 300 scouts from around the Midwest attended the merit badge clinic.
